Everton and Newcastle United are the latest clubs to have been linked with a move for Netherlands international Memphis Depay.
The 20-year-old, who currently plays for PSV Eindhoven, has reportedly been the subject of interest from a number of clubs following his performances at the World Cup during the summer.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur are all thought to have been monitoring the winger's progress, but Everton and Newcastle hope to steal a march on those potential suitors by making a bid in January, according to The People.
The report added that both Premier League outfits had scouts at Holland's recent 3-2 defeat at the hands of Mexico to watch Depay in action.
The attacker has scored nine goals in all competitions for PSV this term.
