Patrice Evra is to play his last game for Manchester United away to Southampton and will reportedly join Inter Milan, teaming up with Nemanja Vidic at the San Siro.
The Frenchman's future has been the subject of intense speculation, with Luke Shaw widely touted as his replacement, but The Telegraph claims that the Italian club have reached a deal for the left-back.
United had an option to re-sign Evra after he made enough appearances to trigger a new contract, but the Red Devils refused to take up that option, as they are said to be confident that they will beat Chelsea to the signature of Shaw for a fee of around £27m.
Such is United's confidence, the Blues are thought to have turned their attentions to Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis as a possible alternative.
Evra joined the club from Monaco in 2006.
