Barcelona forward Ansu Fati reportedly has no intention of leaving the club amid interest from the likes of Manchester United.
The 20-year-old's future has recently been called into question, with a recent report claiming that the player's agent Jorge Mendes has made contact with a number of European clubs over a potential summer transfer.
Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have all been credited with an interest in Fati, who is under contract at Camp Nou until June 2027.
The Red Devils are understood to have identified the Spain international as a possible target ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, with Erik ten Hag expected to bolster his attacking options.
However, reports in Spain say that Fati is only focused on Barcelona and has made it clear that he wants to 'succeed' with the Catalan giants.
The report adds that Fati is keen to establish himself as a key player under head coach Xavi and hopes that the rumours about his future will pass.
Xavi has recently insisted that Fati remains an important part of his plans going forward and he regards the youngster as "non-transferable".
"Ansu Fati is non-transferable, like everyone in the squad right now. He's a very important player. I have tremendous hope," Xavi told reporters.
"We expect a lot from him, I have blind confidence in him. I have it with everyone. We have been shaping the squad based on what I have wanted."
Xavi added: "Things will work out for him, we have to be patient, he is a spectacular asset for the club, we trust him a lot, he is working very well, he has a tremendous mentality in training, but we need to be patient.
"He is 20 years old and needs time, like everyone else. This is not the time to talk about sales."
Meanwhile, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has played down speculation that Fati could be on his way out of the club, telling reporters last week: "[Fati] is a Barca player, in whom we have high hopes and we have no news that his agent wants to do anything."
Fati joined Barca's La Masia academy at the age of 10 in 2012 and worked his way through the youth ranks before making his professional debut in August 2019.
The forward, who turns 21 in October, has already made 89 senior appearances for the Catalan club across all competitions, scoring 25 goals and registering nine assists.
This season, only Gavi has made as many first-team appearances as Fati (31), and he played in all of Barca's first 20 La Liga matches before he was named as an unused substitute for the first time in last weekend's 1-0 win away at Villarreal.
Fati will be hoping to force his way back into Xavi's starting lineup when Barcelona welcome none other than Man United to Camp Nou for a mouthwatering Europa League playoff first-leg contest on Thursday. body check tags ::
