Fiorentina are reportedly eyeing a swoop for Manchester United midfielder Fred.
The Brazil international struggled to make his mark for United last term following a big-money move from Shakhtar Donetsk - scoring just once in 17 Premier League appearances.
The 26-year-old has not been involved for the Red Devils in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign, although he did join up with the squad late after getting married over the summer.
According to La Nazione, having completed a deal for Franck Ribery, Fiorentina are now eyeing a permanent swoop for Fred before the European transfer window closes on September 2.
The South American was present at Old Trafford for United's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon but was not included in the squad.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to have held talks with Fred earlier this summer insisting that he would be given a chance to stake a claim this season.
