Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has confirmed that Manchester United had a recent offer for his services rejected.
Reports emerged yesterday evening that United had approached Los Blancos for the German international, although neither club had passed comment on the speculation.
However, speaking at a press conference this afternoon, 26-year-old Khedira has revealed that Madrid had no hesitation in turning down United's advances.
"The club turned down the offer and that was it. We didn't really have the chance to discuss it. I had a longer chat with Carlo Ancelotti a few weeks ago and it was relatively clear to me that I'd stay at Real," he said.
Khedira joined the Spanish side in 2010 from Stuttgart.
