Manchester United's pursuit of Harry Maguire has reportedly stalled because Leicester City are demanding £95m for his services.
The Red Devils were hoping to secure the 26-year-old's signature for a fee in the region of £80m to £90m, but now his parent club are seeking an initial £85m with a further £10m in add-ons.
Leicester's high asking price is also believed to have deterred Manchester City in making a move for the England international, who scored three goals in 31 Premier League appearances last season.
With less than a week remaining in this summer's transfer window, both sides have little time left to negotiate with Brendan Rodgers's side over a potential deal for the former Hull City defender.
The Times also report that United are still pursuing a swap deal with Italian champions Juventus that would see Romelu Lukaku depart Old Trafford in exchange for Argentine forward Paulo Dybala.
