RB Leipzig are reportedly reluctant to sell defender Josko Gvardiol this summer amid interest from the likes of Chelsea.
The 20-year-old, who can operate as either a centre-back or left-back, established himself as a first-team regular for the German outfit during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing to five goals in 46 appearances across all competitions.
Following the departure of Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid and the expected exit of Andreas Christensen, Chelsea are set to bolster their defensive options this summer.
The Blues are now able to recruit new players after the takeover by Todd Boehly and his consortium was confirmed on Monday.
Thomas Tuchel has allegedly identified Gvardiol as a potential target this summer, but the Daily Mail claims that Leipzig are hoping to keep hold of the defender, who still has four years remaining on his contract.
The report adds that Tottenham Hotspur have also expressed their interest in Gvardiol, while Manchester United have enquired about the Croatian's availability.
Gvardiol is not the only Leipzig star who Chelsea are keen to sign as attacker Christopher Nkunku is also believed to be on their summer wishlist, along with Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde.
