Liverpool 'could rival Chelsea for Jules Kounde deal'

:Headline: Liverpool 'could rival Chelsea for Jules Kounde deal':
Liverpool could move for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde this summer, according to a report.
Sports Mole

Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on Jules Kounde's situation at Sevilla.

The 23-year-old has again been in impressive form for his Spanish club during the 2021-22 campaign, making 25 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and one assist in the process.

Kounde is widely expected to leave Estadio Ramon this summer, with Chelsea said to be at the head of the queue for the seven-time France international.

However, according to Marca, Liverpool are also in the race for the defender, with the Reds 'following' him ahead of a potential bid during this summer's transfer window.

Kounde has a £75m release clause in his contract with Julen Lopetegui's side, and it remains to be seen whether the La Liga title hopefuls are prepared to offer a discount this summer.

Manchester City and Manchester United are also believed to be admirers of the defender, who has made 114 appearances for Sevilla since arriving from Bordeaux in July 2019. body check tags ::
