Romelu Lukaku is reportedly hopeful that he can complete a move to Inter Milan in time to face Manchester United later this month.

Inter have been in talks with United over a big-money deal for Lukaku, who is valued at £75m despite being unwanted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Serie A side are unable to pay that amount, however, and Lukaku has now travelled to Australia for the start of United's pre-season campaign.

According to The Mirror, though, the 26-year-old is confident that he will join the Nerazzurri in the next fortnight, which could potentially see him line up against his former side in Singapore on July 20 when the teams meet in the International Champions Cup.

Lukaku has scored 42 goals in 96 appearances over his two seasons at United.
