Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo is reportedly set to be offered an improved contract in the summer.
After joining the Man United academy at the age of nine, Mainoo worked his way through the youth ranks before making his senior debut in January 2023.
Although he had to settle for three appearances last term, the 18-year-old has gone on to establish himself in the first team setup in the previous few months.
Mainoo, who has featured in 10 competitive matches this season, scored his first senior goal in last Sunday's 4-2 victory over Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The teenager then played a decisive role in Thursday's dramatic 4-3 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
Erik ten Hag's side thought they had dropped two points when they gave away a 3-1 lead against Gary O'Neil's side, but Mainoo ultimately produced one final twist, curling a precise finish into the bottom corner to win the game with his first Premier League goal.
With Mainoo currently enjoying a breakout season, Man United are expected to reward the academy product for his impressive performances.
According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are preparing to offer Mainoo an improved contract at the end of the current season.
Mainoo signed his first professional deal in May 2022, before he put pen to paper on a fresh contract in February 2023.
As a result, Mainoo currently has a contract with the club until the summer of 2027, with an option for Man United to extend by a further year.
However, the 20-time English champions are seemingly set to offer him an improved contract which reflects his current status in the squad.
After starting in each of the last eight competitive matches, Mainoo is expected to retain his place in the side for Sunday's Premier League home meeting with West Ham United.
Man United begin the weekend in seventh position and just one point adrift of the Hammers, who are in sixth place in the Premier League table.
