Manchester City are reportedly keen to explore a summer deal for Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, with the club potentially losing both Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva later this year.
Gundogan only has a contract with the Citizens until the end of June, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future at the Etihad Stadium.
Bernardo, meanwhile, has expressed a desire to "move to a new project", with the Portugal international believed to be keen to leave the English champions for family reasons.
"I'm very focused on this season and it doesn't make sense to talk about leaving because we're in the middle of the season," he told Record. "I won't hide that my goal in the coming years, if something good happens elsewhere, will probably be to move to a new project."
According to ESPN, Man City are preparing to revamp their midfield this summer, and Bellingham is viewed as a key target for Pep Guardiola's side.
The England international is expected to inform Dortmund of his desire to seek pastures new this summer, with many of the world's biggest clubs interested in his signature.
Liverpool and Real Madrid are thought to be the frontrunners alongside Man City, but the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea also continue to be credited with an interest.
Bellingham starred for England at the 2022 World Cup, netting once and providing one assist in five appearances to help Gareth Southgate's side reach the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old has been in strong form at club level this term, scoring nine goals and registering three assists in 22 appearances in all competitions.
Bellingham has a contract with BVB until June 2025, but he is widely expected to depart this summer, providing that his German club's asking price is met.
There have been claims that Dortmund would want in excess of £100m for the youngster, who made the move to the Bundesliga side from Birmingham City in 2020.
Bellingham has represented his current team on 112 occasions in all competitions, contributing 19 goals and 21 assists in the process.
The midfielder has picked up European experience during his time at Dortmund, featuring on 21 occasions in the Champions League, scoring six goals and providing five assists, while he has also scored two goals and registered two assists in two Europa League outings for the club.
Man City will allegedly wait to see what happens with Gundogan and Bernardo before deciding how much they need to invest in their midfield ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are both believed to be keeping a close eye on Bernardo's situation, while Gundogan has been linked with a switch to Galatasaray. body check tags ::
