Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid are closely monitoring Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka, according to a report.
The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract and talks with the Bundesliga champions to extend his deal have stalled.
Goretzka is allegedly demanding a contract worth around £19.5m per year – a similar deal offered to David Alaba before he agreed to join Real Madrid – but Bayern are only prepared to offer him a deal between £8.5m and £10.5m per season.
The German club have set a self-imposed salary cap and would like to keep all of their annual wages below £17m per season, due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
If Bayern fail to agree terms with Goretzka before January, then the midfielder would be able to negotiation pre-contract agreements with other clubs and leave for free next summer, with United, Barca and Real all interested in his services, according to Bild.
Goretzka made 32 appearances across all competitions for Bayern last season, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists. body check tags ::
