Manchester United have been given a free run at signing Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire, according to a report.
The England international has been linked with United, Manchester City and Arsenal this summer after another impressive campaign for the Foxes last time out.
Leicester are holding out for a straight-cash offer of £85m, however, which would make Maguire the most expensive defender in world football.
The Sun claims that Man City are unwilling to go that high with their bid, while Arsenal can only offer half of that amount and are therefore also out of the running.
United must now weigh up whether to match Leicester's valuation and finally get a deal over the line, or instead turn to a cheaper alternative.
Maguire is rumoured to have informed the 2015-16 Premier League champions that he wants to join the Red Devils.
