Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is reportedly preparing a £15m January swoop for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
The former non-league forward currently leads the scoring charts in the Premier League having netted 12 goals for Leicester this season.
That form has seen the 28-year-old elevate himself into the England squad and he is now expected to be selected for Euro 2016 next summer.
Man United are said to be in the market for a new striker in January and according to The Sun, Van Gaal sees £15m-rated Vardy as the perfect signing.
Vardy, who joined Leicester for just £1m from Fleetwood Town, was released from the Sheffield Wednesday academy in 2002, before joining Stocksbridge Park Steels, where he scored 66 times in 107 league games between 2007 and 2010.
