Manchester United and Real Madrid could reportedly go head to head for the signature of Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar during this summer's transfer window.
The 25-year-old - previously linked with Manchester City and Barcelona - has again been a key player for Inter during the 2019-20 campaign, making 32 appearances in all competitions.
Skriniar has a contract at San Siro until June 2023, but there has been speculation surrounding his future over the last few months.
According to The Mirror, United are ready to 'step up their bid' to sign the Slovakia international ahead of the 2020-21 season with the club allegedly in the market for a new centre-back.
However, the report claims that Madrid are also firmly in the hunt for his signature as they look to sign a long-term replacement for club captain Sergio Ramos.
Antonio Conte's side are believed to value Skriniar, who has made 118 appearances for Inter since arriving from Sampdoria in 2017, in the region of £52.5m.
