Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a renewed bid for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire after admitting defeat in their pursuit of Matthijs de Ligt.
The Red Devils are in the market for a new centre-back and emerged as late rumoured contenders to sign the Netherlands international.
According to the Evening Standard, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is resigned to the fact that De Ligt is heading to Barcelona and does not want to waste any more time.
Solskjaer will instead supposedly look at Leicester ace Maguire, who was also linked with a switch to Old Trafford last summer, while Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly remains a back-up option.
However, a separate report claims that the Foxes will refuse to sell Maguire - also a possible target for Manchester City - unless a record amount for a defender is offered, which currently stands at £75m following Virgil van Dijk's move to Liverpool in January 2018.
