Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a late approach to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.
Having been informed by the Catalan giants that he is free to leave Camp Nou before the end of January, it has been claimed that Dembele is on the brink of joining Paris Saint-Germain.
However, interest from the Premier League has never been in short supply, and the shock allegations regarding Mason Greenwood on Sunday may force United to respond in the transfer market.
According to Foot Mercato, United could attempt to bring in Dembele as a direct replacement for Greenwood before Monday's transfer deadline.
Although the report adds that edging out PSG at this stage is unlikely, it suggests that contact has been made with the Frenchman's representatives.
The 24-year-old has just five months remaining on his contract, making Monday the final day for Barcelona to recoup a fee for one of the biggest transfer outlays in their history.
