Manchester United are reportedly working to sign David de Gea and Marcus Rashford to new contracts at the club before the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

De Gea's current terms with the 20-time English champions are due to expire at the end of June, and there has recently been speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford.

The 32-year-old has been one of Man United's most consistent performers this season, though, keeping 19 clean sheets in 44 appearances in all competitions.

De Gea recently expressed his happiness at the club, and according to Sky Sports News, Man United head coach Erik ten Hag wants the stopper's new deal to be signed before the end of the season.

The report claims that 'locking down Rashford' is the club's priority, meanwhile, due to the attacker's incredible form during the 2022-23 season.

Rashford has found the back of the net on 27 occasions in 46 appearances for the Red Devils during the current campaign, in addition to contributing nine assists.

The 25-year-old was again on the scoresheet against Brentford on Wednesday night, with Man United running out 1-0 winners in the Premier League.

Rashford has 15 Premier League goals to his name this season, placing him fourth on the list behind Erling Braut Haaland (28), Harry Kane (22) and Ivan Toney (17).

The England international's current deal at Old Trafford is due to expire in the summer of 2024, but Man United are wary of letting him enter the final year of his contract.

Paris Saint-Germain were heavily linked with the forward last summer, and it is understood that the French champions are still interested in signing him.

Rashford's proposed new deal will allegedly make him one of the highest-earners at the club, but De Gea is preparing to take a pay cut on his current £375,000-a-week salary.

Man United recently announced that Luke Shaw had signed a new contract at Old Trafford.

As well as Rashford and De Gea, Diogo Dalot, Alejandro Garnacho, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Fred, Anthony Martial, Victor Lindelof, Brandon Williams and Teden Mengi only have deals with the club until June 2024.
