Manchester United will reportedly have to move unsettled attacker Jadon Sancho on in January if they wish to be active in terms of incomings at the start of 2024.

Providing that Sir Jim Ratcliffe's arrival as a minority shareholder is ratified by the Premier League in time, the Red Devils are said to be planning to make one or two signings in the winter market.

The club are working to strict Financial Fair Play rules, but a recent report said that Ratcliffe's arrival at this stage would allow Man United's budget for the January transfer window to be boosted.

According to Football Insider, the club are planning for mid-season additions, but moving on Sancho is currently the number one priority of senior figures at Old Trafford.

The England international has not played for Man United since the end of August due to his high-profile falling-out with head coach Erik ten Hag, which has seen him removed from the first-team picture entirely.

Sancho is not training with the first team, nor being considered for selection, and it appears almost certain that he has played his final game for the club, at least under the management of Ten Hag.

Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Barcelona are among the European clubs to be credited with an interest in the 23-year-old ahead of the January window.

There is also believed to be huge interest from the Saudi Pro League, but it is understood that a move to the division does not appeal to Sancho at this stage of his career.

The forward's huge wages, said to be around £250,000 a week, are also another reason why the club are so determined to cut ties with him at the start of next year.

There are also further January sales on the cards, with Anthony Martial potentially being the subject of two offers from the Saudi Pro League.

Meanwhile, Donny van de Beek is said to be attracting the attention of Galatasaray, with the Netherlands international possibly being given a route out of Man United.

Antony has also been linked with a departure amid concerns surrounding his form this season, but the 23-year-old is not expected to be on the move in the winter market.

Sancho will again be missing for Man United when Ten Hag's side resume their 2023-24 Premier League campaign away to Everton on Sunday afternoon.

Amid a host of issues this term, the Red Devils have managed to win four of their last five in the league, which has left them in sixth position in the table, five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
