Manchester United and Arsenal have allegedly been handed a boost in the race to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
Having starred for the Bundesliga title challengers this season, Upamecano has been linked with a move to a bigger club due to having just over a year left on his contract.
Despite the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, it has been claimed in the past that Leipzig would look to receive £52m for the Frenchman.
However, according to Bild, the centre-back's asking price has been lowered to £34.8m, a figure which may be regarded as more realistic by his suitors.
United and the Gunners are both open to strengthening their backline during the next transfer window as they look to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City.
The report adds that Bayern Munich may still choose to rival the Premier League giants for the 21-year-old.
