Manchester United and Manchester City have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Middlesbrough youngster Nathan Wood.
The 16-year-old defender has been involved in with Boro's senior squad throughout pre-season, starring in their friendlies against Rochdale and Hartlepool United.
Wood, who is equally comfortable playing midfield as well as centre-back, is already an England youth international despite having just finished his GCSEs.
According to The Mirror, Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have taken an interest in Wood and are thinking of launching bids for the youngster.
Wood is the son of former Boro and Crystal Palace full-back Dean Gordon.
