Manchester United are reportedly considering making a move for RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo during this summer's transfer window.
The Spain international's future is currently the subject of much speculation, as his contract with his German club is due to expire in the summer of 2024.
Barcelona are believed to be interested in re-signing the forward, who represented the club between 2007 and 2014 before moving to Dinamo Zagreb, where he starred ahead of a switch to Leipzig in 2020.
However, according to Bild, Man United are also keeping a close eye on the situation, with the Red Devils exploring the possibility of bringing him to Old Trafford in the upcoming market.
The report claims that Leipzig might be forced to sell Olmo this summer if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League, and he could be available for around €40m (£35.3m) in the upcoming market.
Leipzig are currently fourth in the Bundesliga table, one point clear of fifth-placed Freiburg, in the battle to qualify for the group stage of the 2023-24 Champions League.
Olmo is said to be unlikely to sign a new deal with the Red Bulls, and he would rather leave this summer than on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
Man United have allegedly asked Olmo about his plans, with the club also speaking to the attacker's father and agent ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old has made 23 appearances for Leipzig during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring four goals and registering six assists in the process.
Olmo has struggled with injury problems this season, but he has still made 17 appearances in the Bundesliga, in addition to featuring on six occasions in the Champions League, DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup.
Meanwhile, since arriving at Leipzig from Dinamo, he has represented the German team on 115 occasions, scoring 20 goals and registering 24 assists in the process.
Olmo is also an important player for Spain, representing his national side 30 times, scoring six goals.
The attacker's versatility is believed to make him an attractive proposition for Man United, with the Spaniard capable of playing on the right and the left, in addition to through the middle.
Barcelona have allegedly urged Olmo not to sign a new deal with Leipzig in order to bring him back to Camp Nou on a free transfer next summer.
