Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic has reportedly turned down a £7m-a-year offer to move to Qatar as the Croatian is holding out for a switch to Manchester United.
Mandzukic was strongly linked with United in the latter stages of the summer transfer window, but the Red Devils ultimately decided against pursuing a deal for the experienced striker.
The 2018 World Cup finalist has since been linked with a move to Qatar as he is yet to play a single minute of football for Juve in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the 33-year-old has rejected a huge contract from the Qatar Stars League as he has not given up hope of securing a January move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
The Red Devils decided against replacing Romelu Lukaku during the summer transfer window, but the English giants are currently facing a crisis in the final third with Marcus Rashford joining Anthony Martial on the sidelines.
Mason Greenwood scored his first senior goal for the club against Astana last week, but the 17-year-old was absent for Sunday's 2-0 defeat to West Ham United through illness, meaning that Jesse Lingard ended the match as a centre-forward after Rashford had left the field with a groin problem.
