Manchester United will reportedly receive £25m for exiled attacker Jadon Sancho when his move to Chelsea turns permanent in 2025.
Following hours of uncertainty surrounding the Englishman's next career move on transfer deadline day, the Blues have reportedly agreed to sign him on an initial loan with an obligation to buy in 2025.
Sancho has already given the green light to Chelsea's contract offer, having reportedly had his heart set on joining Enzo Maresca's side after Juventus pulled out of the running this morning.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils - who were initially believed to be holding out for around £40m to let Sancho go this summer - are now set to accept just £25m for his services.
That fee represents a mammoth loss on the £73m that Man United paid Borussia Dortmund for Sancho's services in 2021, since when he has only managed 12 goals and six assists in 83 games.
The 24-year-old's Red Devils career looked to be dead in the water when he publicly disputed Erik ten Hag's reasons for leaving him out of their squad for a defeat to Arsenal, but the pair unexpectedly let bygones be bygones earlier this summer.
However, despite playing for Man United in pre-season and in the Community Shield loss to Manchester City, Sancho failed to make the squad for either of the Red Devils' opening league games of the new campaign. body check tags ::
