Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to bring both Everton forward Romelu Lukaku and Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata to Old Trafford ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
Morata, 24, has been strongly linked with a move to the Red Devils in recent weeks, and it is thought that the Spain international is closing in on a £70m transfer to the Premier League after agreeing personal terms.
However, according to The Sun, Mourinho wants to sign two new strikers in this summer's transfer window, and will target a move for Everton's Lukaku once the Morata deal has been confirmed.
Lukaku, who scored 25 Premier League goals last season, is said to be Chelsea's leading striker target this summer, although the Blues are currently refusing to meet Everton's asking price of £100m.
Mourinho sold the Belgian international to Everton in 2014 while in charge of Chelsea, but it is claimed that the Portuguese has been impressed with the 24-year-old's development over the last couple of seasons.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been released on a free transfer this summer, while Wayne Rooney is expected to seek pastures new ahead of the new season, leaving Man United short of forwards ahead of their return to the Champions League.
