Nani has insisted that he is staying put at Old Trafford next season.
Speculation over the 24-year-old winger's future at Old Trafford deepened after the club signed Villa's Ashley Young for £17 million last week. Nani has been linked to Juventus, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
"Of course, I'm not going anywhere," he told Singapore's Straits Times. "There's going to be more competition for places and, at a club like United, you always have to be on your toes to stay hungry for trophies."
Asked if he had discussed his future role at the club with Alex Ferguson, he responded: "No. Why should I?"
Nani added that he would be "welcoming" Young to the side and backed his signing. "When they bring in new players, they know if it is good for the team or not, and this [signing] has to help them. It is good for the team - we want more [players] to help us to win trophies."
