Paul Pogba has suggested that he would be in favour of Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni making the switch to Manchester United.

A number of Premier League clubs, including United and Chelsea, were linked with Tchouameni during the summer window before he eventually remained in Ligue 1.

However, having spent time with the 21-year-old during his most recent period with the France squad, Pogba has spoken positively about the progression of his compatriot.

Speaking to RTL, Pogba said: "Very, very good. He's not a boy, he's a man. It's a pleasure to play next to him. He brings a lot of energy. A lot of energy, extraordinary technical and physical quality.

"We wish him to play a lot more games and that I am always by his side."

The defensive-minded midfielder still has three years remaining on his contract with Monaco. body check tags ::
