Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly lining up a £50m summer move for Manchester United's Harry Maguire.
The 30-year-old is widely expected to leave the 20-time English champions during the upcoming market, having fallen down the pecking order when it comes to the centre-back spots at Old Trafford.
Maguire remains club captain, and he has more than two years left to run on his contract with the Red Devils, while there is an option to extend the agreement until June 2026.
However, the defender has started just five times in the Premier League this season, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane becoming Erik ten Hag's first-choice central defenders.
Maguire's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with Newcastle United said to be considering making a move for him during this summer's transfer window.
However, according to The Sun, there is also serious interest from PSG, with the French champions preparing to launch a £50m offer during the upcoming market.
The report claims that a January deal for the centre-back was discussed, but the capital outfit ultimately ran out of time in the latter stages of the window.
PSG faced more Champions League frustration on Wednesday evening when they were knocked out of the competition by Bayern Munich in the round of 16.
The Ligue 1 leaders are said to be determined to boost their defensive options this summer, and Maguire has been identified as a leading target despite his recent struggles at Old Trafford.
Aston Villa and West Ham United have also been linked with the former Sheffield United youngster, but the two clubs are likely to struggle to match his £200,000-a-week wages.
Maguire started the 2022-23 campaign in Ten Hag's first XI, but two disappointing performances against Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford saw him lose his spot.
The England international has featured on 21 occasions during the current season, although just 10 of those appearances have come in the Premier League.
Maguire has actually only started twice for Man United in the league since the end of October, with Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof also used ahead of him this season.
A departure for the Red Devils captain would likely lead to the club signing a replacement, with Ajax's Jurrien Timber again being linked with a move to Old Trafford.
However, the size of Man United's budget for the upcoming window is currently unclear due to the ownership situation, with the Glazers in talks over a possible sale. body check tags ::
