Marcus Rashford will reportedly hold showdown talks with the Manchester United hierarchy in a bid to address his struggles during the 2023-24 campaign.
The England international is currently being linked with a summer move away from Old Trafford, with the Red Devils allegedly prepared to listen to offers of over £70m for the academy product.
Rashford's exit would represent pure profit under the Premier League's rules surrounding profit and sustainability, but a recent report claimed that Man United are not expecting any suitable bids to arrive.
The forward, meanwhile, allegedly has no plans to seek a summer move, with the 26-year-old determined to reignite his career after a disappointing 2023-24 campaign.
Rashford scored 30 goals and registered 10 assists in all competitions last term, but he has only managed eight goals and five assists in 40 outings during the current season.
Marcus Rashford heading for showdown talks with Man United
According to The Sun, the club's academy product will hold showdown talks with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who recently took over the football department at Old Trafford.
The report claims that Ratcliffe and his INEOS team want to get to the bottom of Rashford's struggles this season and will not force him out despite being open to offers.
Rashford is also said to be determined to repair his relationship with head coach Erik ten Hag, which has seemingly become strained due to his off-the-field conduct.
The forward caused controversy earlier this year when he visited a nightclub in Dublin on two separate evenings and then proceeded to call in sick for training before his side's FA Cup clash with Newport County.
Ten Hag's own future remains unclear, with Thomas Tuchel emerging as a potential candidate for the managerial role at Old Trafford, but it is understood that the Dutchman is preparing to lead the team into next season.
Marcus Rashford is set to stay at Man United
Sir Dave Brailsford, who has a key role at Man United in the new set-up, will reportedly meet with Rashford and his representatives to discuss what has occurred this season.
Paris Saint-Germain have been credited with an interest in Rashford, but it is understood that the French champions are not planning an offer this summer.
The forward is therefore set to remain at Old Trafford, and he will be determined to enjoy a strong Euro 2024 with England before returning to Man United to prepare for the new season.
Rashford has not featured for the Red Devils since the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City last month, missing out against Sheffield United and Burnley in the Premier League.
The attacker, who has 131 goals and 64 assists in 399 appearances for his current side in all competitions, will also be absent when Man United head to Crystal Palace on Monday night.
