RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has denied widespread reports that Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Timo Werner this summer.
Reports this week suggested that the Blues had triggered Werner's £53.8m release clause and agreed a five-year deal worth £200,000 a week with the 24-year-old.
However, prior to this afternoon's match between Leipzig and SC Paderborn, Mintzlaff denied that there has been any official approach from Frank Lampard's side.
"We haven't had an exchange with Chelsea yet," he told reporters.
"So far, Timo Werner has not drawn the clause, nor has a club sent a transfer contract."
Werner, who has scored 31 goals across all competitions this season, was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool before the Chelsea reports emerged.
