Manchester United have reportedly told Chelsea that Wayne Rooney is not for sale at any price.
The England international has had his future speculated on for the majority of the summer, with United rejecting two bids for the forward from the Blues.
Rooney is thought to want to move away from Old Trafford, but United have told Chelsea directly to stay away from their player, according to The Guardian.
The decision is said to have come from the club's owners, the Glazer family, who have backed manager David Moyes's stance that the player won't be sold.
Rooney missed United's Community Shield win over Wigan Athletic on Sunday, but will be part of the England squad that play Scotland tonight.
