Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar is not believed to have received a new contract offer from the club, despite his current deal expiring at the end of the season.
The 30-year-old excelled at the World Cup as part of Louis van Gaal's Netherlands side last summer, but has struggled with injuries this season.
Vlaar, who joined Villa from Feyenoord in 2012, turned down a new deal at Villa Park at the start of the season, but is now willing to commit his future to the club as new boss Tim Sherwood has transformed their fortunes, reports the Sunday People.
However, Vlaar could apparently be offered the chance to reunite with Van Gaal at Manchester United.
