Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo is reportedly brushing up on his English skills amid links with a move to the Premier League.

The Blaugrana are attempting to tie the 22-year-old down to a new contract at Camp Nou, with his current deal due to expire in under 18 months' time.

However, Barcelona are supposedly struggling to agree a new deal with Araujo, who wants his salary to reflect his status as one of Xavi's key performers.

According to Sport, Araujo is now working on his English skills following reported interest from the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.

The report adds that Araujo's priority is still to agree a new deal with the Catalan giants, but he has already received 'succulent proposals' from English clubs.

Araujo has banked three goals in 30 appearances for the Blaugrana this season and has already won one Copa del Rey with the club since arriving in 2018. body check tags ::
