Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has claimed that the German giants are not interested in Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland as they already have a world-class striker of their own.
World, European and German champions Bayern have been tipped to strengthen their squad in the summer, and weaken one of their biggest rivals in the process, by moving for Haaland.
The Norway international has scored 21 goals in as many Bundesliga games for Dortmund this term, but that is dwarfed by the 35 goals Robert Lewandowski has netted in 25 appearances.
With Lewandowski in the form of his life, albeit facing a month on the sidelines with a knee injury, Rummenigge sees no reason to move for Haaland in the summer.
"I don't know where the rumours come from," he told Bild. "I can only say one thing: we have the world leading footballer in this position. Robert Lewandowski has a contract until 2023."
Dortmund are still expected to have a major fight on their hands to keep hold of Haaland as Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona are all interested. body check tags ::
