Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly eyeing big-money Premier League acquisitions this summer, with Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker viewed as genuine targets.
Salah was heavily linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia last summer, but the Egypt international ultimately remained at Anfield.
The 31-year-old has again starred for the Reds during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 25 goals and providing 14 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
The forward's contract at Anfield is due to expire next summer, though, and there have been suggestions that he could leave the Merseyside giants in the upcoming market.
According to The Guardian, clubs from Saudi Arabia remain keen on Salah, while his Liverpool teammate Alisson is also set to be targeted during the summer transfer window.
Salah, Alisson 'wanted by Saudi Pro League'
The report claims that Salah 'is the obvious target', and the Egyptian is open to making the move to the Saudi Pro League this year.
A deal for Alisson would likely be more complicated, though, with the Reds not believed to be willing to discuss an exit for a goalkeeper considered to be among the best in world football.
It will be a summer of change for Liverpool, with influential head coach Jurgen Klopp preparing to leave, and Arne Slot is set to arrive from Feyenoord as his replacement.
The club face a big decision on Salah's future, with the Reds running the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer if they refuse to sell him in the upcoming market.
Casemiro, Varane 'could also move to Saudi Arabia'
The Saudi Pro League are said to be planning for another eye-catching transfer window, with Manchester United duo Casemiro and Raphael Varane also allegedly wanted.
Casemiro continues to be linked with an exit, with the Brazil international struggling to show his best form during the 2023-24 campaign.
Meanwhile, Varane's exit from Old Trafford has already been confirmed, with the experienced centre-back due to officially leave when his contract expires at the end of June.
Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are again expected to be the most prominent clubs from the division when it comes to high-profile transfers.
The £150m offer which arrived for Salah last summer came from Al-Ittihad, but it is believed that a number of other clubs are also hoping to sign the forward this year. body check tags ::
