Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw is in no rush to put pen to paper on a new contract at Old Trafford, according to a report.
The 23-year-old earned a recall to the England squad this week for the first time since March 2017 after being given a run of games at club level by Jose Mourinho.
Shaw has never seen eye to eye with Mourinho, however, having regularly been publicly criticised by the Portuguese, and Metro suggests that he will now make the Red Devils sweat over his future.
A new deal is understood to have been offered to the ex-Southampton defender, who was voted United's Player of the Month for August, but he does not intend to make a decision until later in the season.
The report indicates that Shaw, injured during the second half of England's 2-1 loss to Spain on Saturday night, will wait to see if he remains a regular at the back over the coming months before deciding whether to put pen to paper.
