Sporting Lisbon are reportedly expecting Manchester United to make an attempt to sign Bruno Fernandes before the English transfer window closes next week.
Fernandes's future has been the subject of much discussion in recent weeks, with United and Tottenham Hotspur both said to be interested in a deal.
The 24-year-old has allegedly told Sporting that he wants to join Spurs before the transfer deadline.
However, according to AS, Sporting are expecting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to launch an offer for the Portugal international in the final days of the window.
Fernandes enjoyed an impressive 2018-19 campaign for the Lions, scoring 32 times and contributing 18 assists in 53 appearances in all competitions.
United, meanwhile, are said to have pulled the plug on a deal for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala after becoming frustrated with the Argentina international.
