Former Barcelona player Hristo Stoichkov has urged Pedro to reject a move to Manchester United as he believes that manager Louis van Gaal is "destroying" the club.
Pedro has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order at Camp Nou.
Reports have claimed that United are willing to pay the winger's £23m release clause, but Stoichkov, who fell out with Van Gaal in 1998, has urged Pedro to reject the "mediocre" manager.
The 49-year-old, who won five La Liga titles and the European Cup with Barcelona, considers Van Gaal a "bad person" for allegedly making goalkeeper Victor Valdes an outcast at United.
"I would never be under the orders of Van Gaal," Stoichkov told Onda Cero. "He's mediocre. He destroyed Barca and is destroying Man Utd.
"With what he has done to Valdes he has shown he is a bad person. Hopefully Pedro listens to me and doesn't leave."
Pedro came through the youth ranks at Barcelona.
