Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a swoop for Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the right-back set to become the most expensive British defender in history.
United have been strongly linked with the 21-year-old since the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
According to the London Evening Standard, talks between the two clubs have gathered pace in recent days and a compromise regarding a transfer fee is expected to be reached this week.
The report claims that Palace are looking for 'at least £50m' up front but the deal could eventually reach £60m.
Wan-Bissaka had been in action for England's Under-21 side at the Under-21 European Championships.
The Three Lions have been eliminated from the competition in the group stages, though, meaning that the full-back could undergo a medical with the Red Devils before the end of the week.
