Manchester United are reportedly 'cooling' their long-term interest in Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann due to the improving form of Anthony Martial.
Real Madrid striker Bale and Atletico Madrid frontman Griezmann have both been long-term targets for the side, the Frenchman being heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford last summer before the La Liga side's transfer embargo was upheld.
Former Tottenham Hotspur attacker Bale is believed to be out of favour with Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane, meanwhile - despite insistences to the contrary - and could be sold on next summer to help fund a squad rebuild.
According to The Independent, United are now re-evaluating their transfer plans due to Martial's recent form - eight goals and five assists in all competitions this term - leaving Mourinho and his coaching staff "greatly impressed".
The newspaper says that Mourinho believes things have "finally clicked" for the 21-year-old, who has "a new confidence" and "a ruthless quality [to] his finishing".
Martial was among the goals on Tuesday night as United claimed a 4-2 win at Watford.
