Manchester United are reportedly in talks with highly-rated Dinamo Zagreb youngster Robert Muric.
Red Devils boss David Moyes may be able to secure the 17-year-old striker's services for £300,000, despite his club valuing him at £6m, according to the Daily Mail.
Muric, a star of Croatia's Under-17 World Cup campaign, has also been linked with Chelsea and Barcelona.
Moyes is believed to have identified numerous transfer targets for the January window, including Leighton Baines and Ross Barkley at former club Everton.
The Red Devils were in Premier League action on New Year's Day, crashing to a 2-1 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
