Manchester United are reportedly scouring the market for alternative options up front after deciding against a permanent move for Radamel Falcao.
The Colombian forward has struggled for form since his lucrative loan switch to Old Trafford, and was even substituted during an under 21 match against Tottenham Hotspur this week.
According to The People, Falcao's agent Jorge Mendes has approached parent club AS Monaco about selling the striker to Valencia for considerably less than the £44m fee offered to United at the start of the season.
Meanwhile, Louis van Gaal is thought to have sent scouts to watch Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in action.
United are also said to be in pole position to land Burnley frontman Danny Ings on a free transfer at the end of the season.
