Manchester United are reportedly still in discussions with Leicester City over a deal for Harry Maguire, despite the Foxes' unrealistic valuation.
The Red Devils have supposedly been told to pay in excess of £80m for the England international, which would make him the most expensive defender in the world.
United are only willing to go as high as £70m, but the Manchester Evening News claims that they have not ended their interest and there is still hope an agreement can be reached.
However, the 26-year-old is contracted to Leicester until 2023 and City are in no need to sell, though their hand may be forced if the centre-back pushes for an exit.
United have until next Thursday to convince their Premier League rivals to cash in.
