Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly keen on bringing Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard to the club on loan.
The 22-year-old has previously enjoyed temporary spells in the Championship with Birmingham City, Brighton and Hove Albion and Derby County, and it is thought that manager Carlos Carvalhal will make a move to bring him to Hillsborough.
The Daily Star claims that Glenn Roeder, currently working as a scout for the Owls, watched the attacker score in United's Under-21s victory over Everton on Monday night.
Lingard scored twice in 11 games for England's Under-21s side but has played just once competitively for United despite progressing through the club's youth academy.
Wednesday are currently 11th in the Championship table.
