Issa Diop is reportedly in line for a pay rise at West Ham United in a bid to keep him out of Manchester United's clutches.
The 22-year-old has emerged as a rumoured central-defensive target for the Red Devils, who look likely to miss out on Leicester City's Harry Maguire.
United are rumoured to have already made an approach for Diop, making a part-exchange offer worth £45m that West Ham turned down.
Sky Sports News reports that the Irons have no intention of selling the ex-France Under-21s international, whom they signed from Toulouse for around £22m a year ago, and talks are planned with the player's representatives over a new deal.
Diop will supposedly be offered improved terms and is expected to put pen to paper, despite the interest from Man United.
