West Ham United are preparing to make an offer to sign Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie, according to a report.
The Hammers are believed to be resigned to the fact that they may lose Manchester United and Chelsea target Declan Rice in the near future, and as a result are lining up a potential replacement for the academy graduate.
According to football.insider, talks have already been held between McKennie's representatives and West Ham, and the London club will consider launching an official bid for the midfielder in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
The report also states that Juventus are open to the sale of the USA international, who only joined the Serie A giants on a permanent deal in March for around £18m.
West Ham may, however, face competition from Premier League rivals Aston Villa, who are planning to make a move for the 23-year-old in January.
McKennie, who can also operate as a centre-back, was a first-team regular for Juve last season, featuring 46 times across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing three assists.West Ham want Clermont striker Bayo? https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/16242473/west-ham-mohamed-bayo-premier-league/
