Jose Mourinho has said that Paul Pogba "played with maturity" as France defeated Belgium in the World Cup semi-finals.
A second-half header from Samuel Umtiti secured a place in the final for Les Bleus but the performance of the Manchester United midfielder caught the eye in St Petersburg.
Pogba was equally effective in both defence and attack, and Mourinho has acknowledged that he had been left impressed by the display of his player.
Mourinho told Russia Today: "I think a very good performance by Pogba. Pogba was mature, he played with maturity when he had to, to hold position and keep control of the play he did."
Despite the performance, Pogba remains without a goal or an assist in five outings at the tournament.
