Relegation-threatened Mansfield Town have pulled off a shock by beating Luton Town in League Two tonight.
The hosts almost took an early lead when Vadaine Oliver connected with a header from close range, but it was too close to the goalkeeper.
However, they found the breakthrough in the 32nd minute when Jack Thomas found striker Rakish Bingham, and he drilled the ball into the bottom corner.
Ricky Ravenhill almost doubled their lead minutes later, but his shot flew narrowly wide from outside the box.
Promotion-chasing Luton struggled to impose themselves until the second half, when they started to create chances, and striker Mark Cullen will feel that he should have scored from inside the six-yard box, but he put it wide.
Jonathan Smith went close for the visitors in the 90th minute, but they couldn't break down Mansfield and slumped to their first league defeat since December.
