Marseille have reportedly moved closer to securing the signing of Mario Balotelli.
After two successful years at Nice, Balotelli became a free agent at the start of July and has been linked with a number of clubs in Serie A.
However, Marseille have also made an approach for the forward and according to RMC Sport, the Italy international has arrived in the area ahead of penning a contract.
The report suggests that the 27-year-old will become the club's highest-paid player in their history on wages of £175,000 per week.
In two seasons with Nice, Balotelli scored 33 goals in 51 appearances in Ligue 1.
