Marseille have confirmed that they will sign AS Monaco forward Valere Germain on a four-year deal next week, pending a medical.
The 27-year-old scored 10 goals in 36 appearances as the principality side ended Paris Saint-Germain's stranglehold on the Ligue 1 title last season.
However, Germain fell behind Radamel Falcao and Kylian Mbappe in the frontline pecking order at the Stade Louis II towards the end of the season.
Marseille confirmed the deal in an official statement, which read: "AS Monaco and Marseille have reached agreement for the transfer of attacker Valere Germain, who will sign a four-year deal on Monday, pending a medical."
In joining the Phocians, Germain follows in the footsteps of his father Bruno, who enjoyed two spells at Marseille during his playing career.
